About Davis Consulting Group

DAVIS Consulting Group (DCG), founded in 1968, specializes in project management consulting services. DCG assists Owners, Developers, Designers, and Contractors with the planning, scheduling, cost control, and expediting of single projects or multi-project programs. The firm has provided consulting services on over 500 projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, utility, and institutional types. DCG is currently providing consulting services on over forty projects with construction value in excess of $500 million.

DAVIS Consulting Group serves as a catalyst, an expediter, a trouble shooter, and a team builder. Its challenge is to help an assembly of individually qualified specialists who are brought together to form a temporary, inexperienced organization (the project team), to function effectively from start to finish. Working from a perspective which is independent of any one functional aspect of the project, DCG serves as an actively involved adviser to the management of the project and to the team as a whole. Using graphical planning and control techniques developed over the past thirty years, DCG helps the project team save time and money while turning out a better product. DCG's services apply to all stages of a project, from feasibility through design and construction and occupancy/start-up. Other critical areas such as legal, financial, administrative, marketing, and regulatory are incorporated into the strategies which DCG guides and supports the team in developing and implementing.

While these services are ideally provided from project inception through total completion, DCG is frequently called into a project when project problems have become recognizable threats to successful completion. Such troubled project intervention utilizes DCG's "third-party" objective assessment to reduce conflicts while DCG planning/scheduling approaches help develop consensus approaches to project completion.

DAVIS Consulting Group also provides assistance in delay/acceleration claim analysis, drawing from extensive experience in commercial, industrial, and residential project management. Using graphical, easily understood analysis and presentation techniques, DCG outlines the cause and effect relationships between delays and project completion goals to enable the client/attorney team to evaluate avenues of settlement and/or strategies for litigation. DCG also provides expert witness testimony to support the client/attorney team should formal dispute resolution procedures be required. DCG also uses this experience to assist the client in avoiding disputes or resolving them before they impact project success.

DAVIS Consulting Group provides project management systems design and training for firms who prefer to develop in-house capabilities. DCG also makes available to clients the same computer scheduling support that it utilizes in consulting assignments.

DAVIS Consulting Group matches our staff and services to the needs and capabilities present in the project team. DCG provides all necessary support services, and no more. DCG trains clients' staff to take over those project support functions which can be done as well in-house.
