SETTING UP THE SCHEDULE

• Cascad-e™ allows you to completely control the appearance of the schedule.

• Select from over 200 colors for activity color coding.

• Show as much or as little precedence information as you wish.

• Plot with different amounts of precedence information for different users of the same schedule.

• Show resource transfers as different symbols from precedence connections.

• Plot all activities or any combination of activity subgroups.

• Select from a variety of time scales, line widths, print styles, and print sizes.

• Move activities or groups of activities to any desired location.

• Group activities vertically in any manner desired.

• Add milestone flags, comments, symbols, shading, and activity group boundaries as desired.

• Plot partially completed schedules to help in determining remaining activities.

UPDATING THE SCHEDULE

Allowing a typical CPM program to blindly slip activities in response to update information is unrealistic and frequently dangerous. Cascad-e™ updates involve the project team in determining how to react to deviations from schedule, changes in scope, or changes in project criteria. Cascad-e™ provides flexibility for rapid incorporation of the project team’s update input. A marked-up copy of the previous plot can normally be converted into a revised/updated schedule plot within 24 hours of receipt. A significant amount of revision can be handled by phone conversation or by fax. If the project team can meet at the Cascad-e™ facility, modifications can be incorporated and examined on-screen as the items are discussed.
